Ubasti is the patron of the Felinae, who are her primary domain. She is also a figure of adaptability, curiosity, and cleverness. Her symbol is the Ankh, and her worship in Damascus greatly predates any conquest by Thracia. While other deities of Damascus might be interpreted as variations on the themes of certain Thracian gods of life, death, sun, etc,  ubasti didn't blend into another figure and (given the power and influence of felinae in Damascus) was instead adopted whole by Thracia into their own pantheon as a figure in her own right.

Basic Overview

Ubasti is the patron of the Felinae, who are her primary domain. She is also a figure of adaptability, curiosity, and cleverness. Her symbol is the Ankh, and her worship in Damascus greatly predates any conquest by Thracia. While other deities of Damascus might be interpreted as variations on the themes of certain Thracian gods of life, death, sun, etc, ubasti didn't blend into another figure and (given the power and influence of felinae in Damascus) was instead adopted whole by Thracia into their own pantheon as a figure in her own right.
