The tentative date and location for the next event are listed below. In the days leading up to the event, make sure to check the Announcements channel of the Discord for any changes regarding date or location.
September 29 - 1
Out of Game Location: A private larp party hosted by Wolf and Chantelle
In Game Location: Harm's Way
Start time: 8:00 PM Friday
Earliest Arrival Time: 3:00 pm Friday
Event End Time: Midafternoon Sunday
Logistics Deadline: 2023-09-22
Head of Plot: TBD, Term -/-
Please note the arrival time listed above. Players may not be onsite, even in the parking lot, prior to the earliest arrival time. If you arrive before other people, please wait in the parking lot until you are given the all clear, as the administrators of the various event sites that Legacies uses often require the Executive Officers to check in before players can occupy the site.
For the foreseeable future, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and photo ID will be required at every event. Players without either of these two documents will be denied entry into the site and will be unable to attend.
Players under the age of 18 must submit a signed parental release waiver (found here) before each game that they attend, until such time as they are 18 years of age or older. You can do this by emailing the signed waiver to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by bringing a paper copy to submit at the check-in table.
So that the Logistics team can have everything ready when you arrive to check in, we recommend sending your character sheet/s, monthly production (if any), and confirmation of which character/s you’ll be playing to email@example.com. The deadline to submit this information is 11:59pm the Friday one week prior to event, but this deadline is flexible for new players. You can even build your first character at the check-in table, though it may be a little time-consuming.
In order to cover site access fees and other expenses, Legacies requires each player to pay an event fee. If you are unable to meet the event fee, contact the Executive Officers before event to see if alternate arrangements can be made.
There is no fee to attend any event labelled 'private larp party.' Any monetary contributions paid to these events are considered a donation. For any events with labelled as 'private larp party', pre-registration should be performed using the poll posted on our community Discord server rather than the Square Store.
You can pay event fees at the check-in table by either cash or card, or in advance using the Square store. Personal checks are not accepted.
Regardless of whether you pay at check-in or in advance, you are encouraged to preregister to speed up check-in (and make it easier to plan the event). The deadline to preregister is 11:59pm the Wednesday just prior to event.
On the Square store, you will see several preregistration options:
- Pay now ($50): Select this option if you are a returning player (someone who has previously attended at least one Legacies event), and you intend to play your own character for at least part of the event
- Pay now ($25): Select this option if you are a new player (someone who has never attended a Legacies event), and you intend to play your own character for at least part of the event
- Pay later ($0): Select this option if you plan to pay your event fee at the check-in table, if you are on the Plot referee team, or if you plan to spend all your time assisting the Plot team by playing NPCs (non-player characters) for the entire event rather than your own characters. If you want to be a full-time NPC, you must get permission from the Head of Plot by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org before preregistering.
Once you select one of these options, the site will prompt you to enter the names of characters you intend to play that event, which greatly helps the Logistics team’s event preparation.
If you preregister but then later realize you won’t be able to make it to an event, you can remove yourself from the list by emailing email@example.com.
Once you’ve preregistered, feel free to check out the Getting Started guide for more information about how to prepare for event, what to pack, and what to expect when you arrive on-site. We’re excited to see you there!
